Bethany D. McClendon Scholarship

Bethany Danielle McClendon, endearingly known as “Dee”, embodied the spirit and principles of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. She lived her life to better the lives of others  while  empowering  herself  by

attaining  her  Masters  of  Arts  in Counseling. In 2004, she entered the University of Arkansas School of Law to fulfill her dream of becoming a juvenile court lawyer. However, her life ended before she could fulfill her dream. We remember Dee through the Bethany  “Dee”  McClendon  Scholarship which  is  awarded  to  female  African American graduate students attending the University of Arkansas.

Nola Holt Royster Living Legacy Scholarship

The  Nola  Holt  Royster  Living  Legacy Scholarship is awarded on behalf of Soror Nola Holt Royster who dedicated her life to uplifting, serving,  and  encouraging students. She  served  as  Director of Career  Services  at  the

University  of Arkansas. As a tribute to Nola, the Office of Career Services is named after her. It is only fitting that this scholarship is in honor of her legacy.  The scholarship is awarded to female, minority high school seniors who plan to attend college.  The recipients  are  selected  based  on academic  achievement,  as  well  as, school and community involvement.
